Cash and alcohol stolen during break-in at Puddletown Rugby Club

Damage by thieves also caused flooding

A rugby club in Dorset has been targeted by burglars.

Dorset Police say three people broke into the club house and changing rooms of Puddletown RFC in Piddlehinton between 2.25am and 3am on Monday morning. (26 September)

A quantity of cash was stolen, as well as a bottle of alcohol.

Damage was caused to the buildings and a pipe was removed, which caused flooding.

Police Constable Mia-Isabella Bowditch, of Dorset Police, said: “This burglary has had a significant impact on a local business and we are doing all we can to identify those responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity around the relevant time to please come forward.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have any CCTV footage to help our enquiries.”
