A group of people were seen running away after a car had its windscreen smashed in Bridport

A car's had its windscreen smashed in Bridport.

The incident happened at around 2.15am on Sunday (26 September), when the vehicle was parked on East Street.

It is reported that a group of people were seen running away from the area in the direction of South Street.

Reckless damage

Police Constable Neil Gauden, of Bridport police, said:

“This reckless damage has a significant impact on the victim and we are carrying out enquiries to identify who was responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area, to please come forward.

“I would also urge local residents and businesses to please check their CCTV systems for any footage that may assist my investigation.”
