Car stolen by men impersonating police officers in Poole
Two men have been arrested following an incident in Fleets Lane
A car's been stolen in Poole after the vehicle was stopped by two men impersonating police officers.
A silver Skoda Superb was being driven along Fleets Lane at around 5.45pm on Monday (15th January) when an Audi with blue flashing lights in the grill asked them to pull over.
Two men asked the occupants to get out, requested to check a driver's licence and hand over the keys.
One of the men then got into the Skoda and drove away.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was also sprayed in the face with what's believed to be an ammonium-type substance - he didn't suffer serious injuries.
The car was located in Whitchurch Avenue in Poole yesterday morning (Tuesday 16th January) and has been seized by police for examination.
Two men – aged 33 and 45 and both from London – have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and impersonating a police officer.
Detective Inspector Darren Moores, of BCP CID, said:
