Cannabis plants found growing in outbuilding in Chickerell

Police in Weymouth have found cannabis plants being grown in an outbuilding.

Officers attended an address in Chickerell after information from the public.

A number of plants have been seized.

A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said:

"Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team attended an address in Chickerell as a result of community intelligence, regarding the possible cultivation of cannabis.

"Whilst at the address, officers located a small number of cannabis plants growing in an outbuilding.

"A quantity of cannabis and cannabis plants have been seized and enquiries continue."
