Police appeal for witnesses after cyclist hit by car in Bridport

Anyone with dash-cam footage is also being urged to come forward

A cyclist has been left with heavy bruising to his arms after they were knocked off their bike in Bridport.

At around 5.25pm on Tuesday 22nd June 2021 a collision occurred in West Street, between the mini roundabout outside the White Lion pub and the Tannery Road roundabout, involving a cyclist and a vehicle - believed to be a burgundy Citroen Berlingo. It is reported that the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

Police Constable Paul Miners, of West Dorset police, said: "We are continuing to make enquiries to try and identify the vehicle involved in this collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please contact us.

"I would also like to appeal for anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please get in touch."
