Brewery Square offering free summer activities
Free crazy golf sessions take place on Tuesdays
A shopping mall in Dorchester is offering free-sports-themed activists during the month of August, as a way to "give back" to visitors.
A table tennis and aerobics equipment has been installed in the Brewery Square which visitors are welcome to use, and free crazy golf sessions are being offered on Tuesdays.
Charlotte Spracklen, Centre Manager at Brewery Square, said:
“We love seeing our guests make the most out of their visit to Brewery Square. Fun, small sporting attractions are a perfect way to help people enjoy the sun and even make new connections through communal activities.
While the free crazy golf will be run by a professional company, the aerobics equipment and table tennis are self-use and people are free to use them anytime during 10am until 4pm, every day in August.
"We're not manning it full-time because we're hoping that people will use it wisely and respect it, and it just gives the area a boost really."
Speaking to Greatest Hits Radio, Charlotte said that it's also a way to give back to visitors:
"The cost of living crisis has impacted families and our local community show us a lot of support when they attend our events, when they come shopping with us or when they eat in our restaurants, so it's our way to give back to them."
