15 year-old boy seriously injured after collision

A 15 year-old boy has suffered serious injuries after a road traffic collision in Poole.

The incident occurred just before 12pm on Friday at the junction of Broom Road and Mannings Heath Road.

Emergency services attended and the cyclist, a 15-year-old local boy, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage.

Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Dorset Road Safety team, said:

“We are conducting a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident.

“I would also urge anyone who may have captured any relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures as these were necessary to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the scene to be conducted.”
