Bournemouth man arrested after elderly man assaulted

A second member of the public was also attacked in the same incident

A man's been arrested in connection with an assault in Bournemouth, which targeted an elderly man.

The victim was attacked on Sea Road in Boscombe, near to KFC, at around 6.00am on August 1st.

The same offender's then alleged to have assaulted a second member of the public near McDonald's in Christchurch Road shortly afterwards.

Following enquiries, Dorset Police say they've now arrested a 35 year old man from Bournemouth on suspicion of assault.

He's since been released under investigation while investigations continue.

Detective Inspector Darren Moores, of Bournemouth CID, said:

“We are continuing to investigate these assaults and we have now made an arrest.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed what happened who has not yet spoken to us to please get in touch.”
