Body found in search for missing Weymouth woman

Officers searching for a missing Weymouth woman have discovered a body.

Sian, aged 47, was last seen at around 1.30pm yesterday (25 September) in the area of Bayard Road.

The body of a woman was located this morning (26 September). While formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be Sian and her next of kin has been informed.

Dorset Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been notified.

A statement from the force added: "Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Sian at this extremely difficult time."
