Body of missing man found in Weymouth garden

The discovery was made yesterday afternoon

A body's been found in the search for a man who went missing from a holiday park in Weymouth.

47-year-old Robert Hillier, also known as Jamie, was reported missing from the Haven holiday park in Preston Road at 8.43pm on Saturday (19 June 2021).

At 4.30pm yesterday (21 June) police received a report that the body of a man had been found in the garden of a residential property in the area of Preston Road.

Although formal identification has yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Robert. His next of kin have been updated of this sad development and are being supported by officers. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been made aware.
