A box full of knitted teddies has been left outside Bridport's Fire Station, to give to children involved in emergencies.

The so-called 'Trauma Teds' were dropped off, with the crew posting the details on their social media.

It's not clear who made the toys, and the team wanted to pass on their thanks to the mystery creator.

The teddies are kept on board fire engines, with some information for parents and carers about support services for children following an incident, if needed.

Bridport's firefighters say they'll pass the toys on to Dorset and Wiltshire Fire's headquarters, to be distributed to other stations around the service.

Last summer, the brigade asked for help for local knitters to create the Trauma Teds so they had a stock of them, but paused the appeal as they were inundated with support.
