Some very special arrivals have come into the world at Fancy's Farm on Portland.

Owners Su and Jon Illsley have welcomed some new members of the family.

Their resident wallabies gave birth to at least five baby joeys.

On Saturday staff at the farm noticed the extra additions as the baby joeys were making an appearance by popping their heads out of their mum's pouches.

Su said there are at least five maybe seven joeys in the pouches so far.

"Two babies have been named by people that have already sponsored them, they are Tilly and Norman.

"We get baby wallaby's every year so we were expecting at least two or three but it seems they have out done themselves this year."

Fancy's Farm are giving you the chance to sponsor a baby joey for £20 a year. The money will be used to feed them, and the sponsor will receive a certificate.

To adopt a baby joey email the farm: donations@fancysfarm.co.uk

After the government's announcement yesterday (Monday 21st February) Fancy's Farm is hoping to open their outside areas to the public on 12th April.

From 21st June the whole farm will be back open as normal with the children's play area open as well.
