Arrest made following Bournemouth hotel fire

The blaze earlier this month led to the Grove Hotel being evacuated

Police investigating a fire at a Bournemouth hotel have made an arrest.

People had to be evacuated from the Grove Hotel on East Cliff at around 6.15am on Sunday 4th February.

A man in his 40s was treated by ambulance service staff at the scene and taken to hospital for treatment.

He's now been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and bailed while enquiries are ongoing.

An investigation into the incident by Dorset Police is still ongoing.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to come forward if they haven't spoken to police already.
