Officers investigating a burglary in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses to help identify a possible suspect.

Sometime between 8.45pm and 9.10pm on Sunday 7 August 2022, they gained entry to an address in Park Street via an insecure door.

The occupants returned to find the suspect still inside. Once disturbed the suspect made off - nothing was stolen.

The suspect is described as white, around five feet five inches tall, aged in his late 30s, of skinny build, with a pale complexion and short light brown hair. He was wearing shorts and a blue and white chequered shirt.

Police Constable Christopher Windows, of Weymouth police, said: "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to please contact Dorset Police.

"I am also keen to hear from any residents or motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or dashcam.

"Finally, I would like to remind residents to ensure they leave their windows and doors locked when they go out, even if it is for a short amount of time."
