Appeal to trace female driver after 10-year-old cyclist hit by car in Weymouth

Police are trying to trace the female driver of a car which was involved in a collision with a 10-year-old cyclist in Weymouth.

The accident happened between 5.15pm and 5.45pm on Sunday 21 August on Littlemoor Road.

The 10-year-old cyclist sustained a cut to his hand.

Descriptions

The driver of the car – which is described as a dark blue possible Volvo or Jaguar estate – spoke to the cyclist, but left the scene without giving any details.

She is described as a white woman, approximately five feet four inches tall and aged in her early 30s with hazel-coloured hair.

Police appeal

Police Constable Scott Williams, of Weymouth police, said: “I have so far been unable to identify the driver involved.

“I would urge the driver to please do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
