Appeal after man assaulted in Wimborne

The incident took place in the car park of The Coach and Horses pub in Poole Road.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered head and facial injuries during an attack outside a pub in Wimborne.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.22pm on Sunday 18th January 2026, that a man had been punched and kicked by two unknown men in the car park of The Coach and Horses pub in Poole Road.

The two men were reported to have come from a white van.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to head and facial injuries.

Detective Constable Chloe Norman, of Dorset County CID, said: “We are carrying out fast-paced enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries."

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a white van in the vicinity or parked in the pub car park around the time of the incident.”
