Aggravated burglary at Sherborne clothing store

Thieves reportedly used a metal bar to open store shutters at TK Maxx

Police are investigating an aggravated burglary at a shop near Sherborne.

A metal bar was used to try to force open the shutters at TK Maxx in Babylon Hill just before 9.00pm last night (Tuesday 16th April).

Shop staff intervened, with offenders leaving the scene on a black motorbike.

Two men - aged 44 and 45 and both from Yeovil - have been arrested on suspicion of burglary offences.

Detective Sergeant Claire Lloyd, of Dorset Police, said:

“I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with relevant information that might assist our investigation.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who was near the store and witnessed any suspicious activity at the time of the incident, as well as any motorists driving in the area of Babylon Hill who may have captured relevant footage on their dashcams.”
