Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens has closed to visitors during the current lockdown.

The decision has been taken in order to support the Government's "stay at home" restrictions during the COVID pandemic.

The Gardens are now closed until further notice.

Abbotsbury Tourism General Manager Martin Alderman says:

"With great regret, we have taken the hard decision to close the Gardens while the current lockdown measures remain in place.

"While we know that people appreciate the space in the Gardens to be able to enjoy socially-distanced exercise, we feel that while Government advice is for people to stay local, we should now close, in order to support the national Coronavirus restrictions.

"Rest assured that we will reopen the Gardens as soon as it becomes feasible to do so. In the meantime, we would like to thank all those visitors who have supported us over the past months."

Anyone who has booked a ticket in advance will be contacted and refunds will be arranged.
