What happened?
Part of the A35 Puddletown Bypass remains shut today for emergency repairs.
Highways England were sent out yesterday to repair a pot hole, it later re-emerged as a sink hole.
The road's closed westbound between Troytown (near the A354, Puddletown and the B3150 (Stinsford).
It's thought it will stay closed for the rest of the day.
A statement on the Highways England today said: "We are currently carrying out geotechnical investigations into the cause of the surface defect on the westbound carriageway section of the Tolpuddle by-pass.
"The road will remain closed until further notice. We apologise for the inconvenience and advise motorists to plan ahead and allow a little extra time for their journeys."
