Three people have been treated for smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire in Weymouth.

Two crews were called to a property in Park Street.

The fire was started by a chip pan.

A spokesperson for Weymouth Fire Station said:

"Both Weymouth appliances attended a property fire yesterday that started in a kitchen due to leaving a chip pan unattended.

"Its a timely reminder that leaving something on a hob unattended is never a good idea, and if wasn’t for quick actions of the homeowner and then arriving crews it could have been a lot worse."
