Three men banned from Weymouth town centre for 12 hours

Items that had been shoplifted were returned to stores by police

Three men were given dispersal orders from Weymouth town centre after suspicions that they had been shoplifting.

Police banned them from the area for 12 hours.

A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said:

"Officers witnessed the three who were suspected to be shoplifting low value items from stores. The goods have been recovered and returned to the stores where enquires are ongoing.

"The group were also in possession of a speaker which was causing a nuisance. The speaker has been surrendered for the period of the dispersal notice."
