The orders have primarily been brought in by Dorset Council to protect pupils at Holy Trinity Church of England school, a day nursery and the Anning House Care Home.

The road also includes the Cross Road doctors surgery.

Cross Road itself is a popular ‘rat run’ between Buxton Road and Wyke Road with the whole are suffering from parking problems at school pick up and drop off times, leading to residents previously calling for more parking restrictions.
