Woman sexually assaulted while tying shoelace in Bournemouth

Dorset Police has released a description of a suspect

A woman's been sexually assaulted in Bournemouth, while she leaned over to tie her shoelace.

It happened close to Lidl on Wimborne Road between 7.15 and 7.20am on Friday 11th August, but police have only now released details.

The victim, in her 30s, was slapped on the bottom by a male cycled as he rode past her.

The offender's described as:

  • White
  • Light complexion
  • Aged in his early 20s
  • Slim build
  • Short dark hair
  • Wearing a long-sleeved black top
  • High-vis sleeveless jacket
  • Black tracksuit bottoms
  • Dark coloured rucksack

PC Robert Pennington, of Bournemouth police, said:

“I am continuing to investigate this incident and would ask anyone with information about who was responsible to come forward.

“Also, I am keen to speak to any motorists or residents who may have captured a man matching the description given cycling in the area at the relevant time.”
