Weymouth: Woman suffers neck laceration in attack
A 28-year-old woman has been arrested
A woman has suffered a laceration to her neck after being attacked in Weymouth town centre.
Police said they were called to King Street at 10.21pm on Sunday.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment
A 28-year-old Weymouth woman was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
Police Constable Madeleine Vincent, of Weymouth police, said: "We are continuing to investigate this incident.
"I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or motorists driving in the area at the time who may have captured relevant dashcam footage, to please get in touch.
"I would also urge anyone with information about who was responsible to please come forward."
