A large generator's been stolen from a Weymouth building site.

Dorset Police say the kit, which is on a trailer, was taken from Abbotsbury at some point between Wednesday 1st and Thursday 9th February.

The generator would need to have been towed away, and has distinctive yellow forklift points on it.

An image of it has now been released, in the hope someone can help with information.

PC Glen Caddy, of Dorset Police's Rural Crime Team, said:

“Our enquiries are continuing into this theft and I would ask anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity between the relevant timeframe to please come forward.

“I am now issuing an image of the stolen generator and trailer and would ask anyone who has seen it locally, either for sale or parked up in unusual circumstances, to please contact Dorset Police.”

If you can help with any information, you can call officers on 101, quoting reference number 55230022176.
