Verwood's Library to close for building work
Some of the facilities will also be upgraded during the closure
Verwood's Library will shut for a week next month, to allow for upgrades and essential building work.
Dorset Council will be on site from Monday 18th November until Saturday 23rd November.
The work's will include installing some new technology to allow members to use the library 'beyond staffing hours'.
That service will be brought in closer to Christmas.
The investment has been funded by Arts Council England and is part of a broader project to launch Extended Access at four Dorset library sites in total - at Verwood, Sturminster Newton, Gillingham and Sherborne.
People with books out on loan during the closure will have their return date extended to allow for the library being shut.
Members can also use other services in Ferndown, West Moors or Wimborne throughout.
Cllr Ryan Hope, Portfolio Holder for Customer, Culture and Community Engagement at Dorset Council said:
"We’re really pleased to be able to improve the facilities for our customers at Verwood Library thanks to funding from Arts Council England. We know the residents will benefit significantly from the investment and expansion of opening times once the work has been completed.”
