Dorset Police have released a picture of a man they'd like to identify

Two teenagers have been assaulted in Wimborne town centre, with two arrests made.

The victims, both males aged 18, were sitting on a bench in Church Street with a woman at around 11.45pm on Saturday night (6th May) when three men approached them.

The groups became involved in a verbal exchange before the victims were assaulted by the men.

Two local men, aged 49 and 56, have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

They've been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

But officers have also released an image of a man they'd like to trace.

PC Angelika Dworczak, of Dorset Police, said:

“Our investigation remains ongoing and we have obtained an image of a man we would like to identify. I would urge anyone who recognises this individual to please contact us.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have captured anything relevant on mobile phone or dashcam footage.”
