Two people have been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs after police swopped on two addresses in Sherborne.

Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team were supported by colleagues from the Force Support Group and Professional Development Unit as they conducted the warrants yesterday morning. (8 November)

A quantity of suspected illegal drugs were reportedly located, and a number of other items including scales, mobile phones and cash were seized.

A local man and woman aged in their 30s have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and remain in police custody at this time.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Mike Brown said: “We recognise the impact that reported drug supply and associated activity has on our local communities. We continue to act on information received to disrupt the activities of those suspected of being involved and take robust action against them.

“I would encourage anyone with intelligence or information regarding suspect drug related activity in their area to report it to Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or call 101. If a crime is in progress, always dial 999.”
