Two arrests made following Weymouth Rodwell Trail assault

Police investigating an attack on a woman by a group of people in Weymouth have made two arrests.

The victim - who's in her 20's and from Portland - was assaulted on the Rodwell Trail by four people at around midday on Wednesday 12th June.

She'd just passed under Buxton Road when it happened.

Police now tell us an 18 year old woman and a 25 year old man - both from Luton in Bedfordshire - have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning ABH.

They've since been released on bail.

There's an ongoing appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
