Emergency repairs have been carried out
Poole's Twin Sails bridge has reopened to traffic after one of its 55-metre high masts snapped.
The mast broke while the lifting mechanism was being operated on Monday.
BCP Council said engineers had carried out emergency repairs.
A spokesperson said: "Over the weekend and on Monday, we are operating a reduced lifting schedule.
"Lifts will be carried out at 8.30am, 10.30am, 12.30pm and 4.30pm.
Vehicles use the bridge to cross between Poole and Hamworthy.
