Thieves claiming to have weapon steal from Dorchester supermarket
Pizzas and sandwiches were taken from the Co-Op on Trinity Street
Two men, who pretended to have a weapon on them, have stolen food from a Dorchester supermarket.
The offenders are alleged to have gone into the Co-Op on Trinity Street at around 6.30am last Saturday (22nd April).
They took sandwiches and pizzas from the shelves and when challenged by staff, claimed to have a weapon.
No weapon was actually seen by staff though.
The men involved are described as:
- White
- Aged in their late teens
- Hoods up covering their faces
- One was wearing a grey, white and black camouflage jacket
- The other was wearing a black quilted jacket with a body warmer over the top and a grey and black tracksuit
PC Mike Rumsby, of Dorchester police, said:
“Officers carried out searches to locate the suspects but unfortunately, they were not found.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the shop and may have witnessed the incident, or saw two people acting suspiciously in the area around the relevant time, to please come forward.
“Also, I would ask motorists travelling in the vicinity of Trinity Street to please check their dashcam footage for anything that may show the two offenders in the area.”
