Teenage boy sexually assaulted in sea at Bournemouth

Dorset Police say they're investigating what happened, close to the Pier

Police are investigating the sexual assault of a teenage boy in the sea at Bournemouth.

The victim - who's 17 - was with friends near the Pier - just after 7.00pm on Saturday (17th June).

He was sexually assaulted by a man, who was with a group of Asian men.

The suspect is described as wearing a white or black vest, and having a tattoo on the left side of his neck, with the letters AK.

PC Aimi Cowden, of Bournemouth police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.

“As part of our summer policing operation, local officers and partners agencies carry out regular patrols of the beach and surrounding area. We will respond to concerns raised and will take proactive action against those involved in reported crime and anti-social behaviour.”
