More space requested for Swanage water taxi

A larger kiosk could be on its way, to store more safety gear

A larger kiosk is being requested on Swanage seafront for the boat hire and water taxi business.

The structure is planned for a site between the Stone Quay and Monkey Beach.

Operator Stephen Hill says the kiosk is only slightly larger than the one which has been in use until now.

It's needed partly to accommodate further safety equipment – and would be used between April and November.

The wooden building will have a hatch on one side and small window on the other.

Comments on the planning application can be made to Dorset Council by April 14th.
