Bridport school children putting their lives at risk on busy rural road
Drivers say they're walking in groups along Pymore Road
There is concern pupils using a busy country road to walk to school near Bridport are putting themselves and drivers in danger.
Motorists have complained to Sir John Colfox Academy about children walking in groups along Pymore Road.
They say some of them have become abusive when challenged.
Bridport Police say they are now working with the school.
A spokesperson for Bridport Police said:
"Drivers have complained about pupils walking 2 or 3 a breast with their backs to traffic and when challenged by drivers they have become very abusive.
"We would ask parents and guardians to remind their children that use this route home to use the pavements where possible please so that we can hopefully prevent someone getting hurt."
