New 'arts' building planned for Bridport
The Town Council wants to put up a multi-purpose site
Plans have been approved for a new 'arts' and community building in Bridport.
The Town Council wants to build on the Old Dairy Site off Ropes Walk.
That would include a photography studio, workshop spaces, offices, kitchenette and storage.
The building's been given permission after a redesign, as councillors thought the original plans were out of keeping with other surrounding projects and the town's conservation area.
Most recently, the site's been used as a car park, but has been home to a bakery in the past.
Parking, loading bays and cycle spaces will be included in the new plans.
Councillors approving the plans also noted that visitors would be able to use the car park directly opposite.
