Police aiming to solve mystery of Bournemouth incident
A man suffered facial injuries, but he doesn't know how
Police in Bournemouth have a mystery to solve - after a man suffered facial injuries during an incident.
The victim, in his 40s, needed hospital treatment in the early hours of Sunday 4th December, but he couldn't recall how he came to have been hurt.
Dorset Police tell us the man was in the area of St Peter's Road and Bath Road at around 4.25am without any injuries.
But by 7.00am, he had sustained them, when he was seen in West Cliff Road.
He was wearing a grey hooded jacket, jeans and black shoes at the time, and we're asked to come forward if we can help with information.
PC Jamie Spry, of Dorset Police, said:
“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries to establish how this man came to be injured, but at this time we have not been able to confirm what happened.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have seen this man in the area of Bournemouth town centre during the early hours of Sunday 4 December 2022, or who has any information as to how he came to be injured, to please get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with dashcam who was driving in the area to please check their footage for the relevant time frame and make the same plea to residents with home CCTV or doorbell cameras.”
If you can help, you're asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting reference number 55220197291.
