Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after three vehicle crash
The rider suffered serious injuries in the collision near Dorchester
A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries from a crash near Dorchester.
Two cars were involved in the collision on the B3143 Slyer’s Lane between Piddlehinton and Dorchester at around 4.15pm on Friday.
Police said the crash involved a dark blue Vauxhall Insignia, a white BMW 3 Series, thought to be driving in convoy, and a black Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man from the Chideock area, suffered serious injuries.
A 27-year-old Dorchester man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of road traffic offences and later released under investigation.
PC Steve Eastwood from the roads policing team, said: "I am appealing for witnesses to the collision or who may have seen the vehicles travelling together to please come forward.
"Also, I would like to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant footage on their dashcam."
