Man's body recovered from water at Portland Marina

The body of a man has been recovered from the water at Portland Marina.

Police were called to reports of a man unresponsive in the water off Hamm Beach Road on Saturday morning.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"Officers attended and the man was recovered from the water. Very sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and the man’s next of kin have been informed.

"The coroner has been notified.

"Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this difficult time."
