Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Bournemouth

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Bournemouth.

Police were called to Beaufort Road, near a children's playpark, just before 7pm last night. (20 April)

The victim – aged in his 40s – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"Officers attended and carried out searches of the area in a bid to locate the offender.

"A cordon was put in place to allow for an examination of the scene to be carried out. No arrests have been made at this time and an investigation is continuing.

"There will be an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are carried out and officers can be approached by anyone with information or concerns."
