Man found injured and unconscious outside Upton Social Club
Police think the man in his 60's may have been the victim of an assault
Police are trying to establish what happened to a man who was found injured and unconscious outside Upton Social Club.
Officers say it happened between 9pm and 11pm on Friday 27 October.
A man aged in his 60s sustained injuries to his face and head after being rendered unconscious outside on Social Club in Poole Road.
He subsequently attended hospital for treatment to an eye injury.
Police Constable Mike Rumsby, of Purbeck police, said: “The victim has little recollection of this incident due to the injuries sustained, however, it is possible he may have been the victim of an assault.
“We are conducting various enquiries as we attempt to establish how he came to sustain these injuries and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that might assist our investigation, to please come forward.”
