Man assaulted in Weymouth town centre

The offender was part of a group on St Thomas Street

A man's suffered facial injuries in an assault in Weymouth town centre.

The victim, in his 30s, was attacked outside Tesco on St Thomas Street at around 10.20pm on Thursday last week (16th May).

Dorset Police believe the offender was part of a group that made off into School Street afterwards.

PC Renée Marquis, of Weymouth police, said:

“I understand there may have been a number of people in the area at the time and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone with information about who was responsible to please come forward.”
