Man knocked unconscious during Weymouth assault
A man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH
A man's been knocked unconscious during an assault in Weymouth's Mitchell Street.
The incident happened at around 1.25am on Sunday (3rd December).
The victim, in his 20s, was treated at the scene by ambulance staff.
A 34 year old man from Weymouth has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on police bail.
There's now an appeal for any witnesses to the assault to contact officers.
Detective Constable Neil Hooker, of Weymouth CID, said:
“I am carrying out an investigation to establish what happened and I am keen to hear from anyone with information.
“I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to police.
“I would also like to speak to any residents in the area who may have captured relevant footage of the incident on their doorbell cameras or home security systems.”
