Man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after Weymouth pub death
An 'unresponsive woman' was found at The Tides Inn
A woman has died at a Weymouth pub, with police treating the death as suspicious.
Dorset Police tell us they were called to the Tides Inn on King Street at around 12.45am on Saturday (4th February).
The ambulance service alerted them to an 'unresponsive woman' found there.
A local man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
He's been released under investigation while enquiries are ongoing.
In a statement, Dorset Police said:
"The coroner has been notified and the woman’s next of kin have been informed. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time."
