Man arrested following Weymouth knifepoint robbery

A man's been arrested, in connection with a knifepoint robbery at a Weymouth newsagents.

The Macey's store in Abbotsbury Road was targeted back in April.

A staff member was threatened by a man carrying a knife, demanding money from the till and stock items.

Dorset CID officers have been investigating since, and have now arrested a 37 year old man on suspicion of robbery.

He's been released on bail while further enquiries are carried out.
