Man arrested following street fight in Dorchester

A man's been arrested on suspicion of affray following a fight on a Dorchester town centre street.

Dorset Police were called out to High West Street at around 1.05am on Sunday (12th February), outside the Royal Oak Wetherspoons pub.

Two men are believed to have been involved in the incident.

A 31 year old local man arrested has been released under investigation.

There's now an appeal for witnesses, as officers say there could have been a number of people in the area.

PC Harry Amos, of Dorset Police, said:

“I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“Also, I am appealing directly to the other man reportedly involved in the incident to please get in touch so we can take your account of what happened.”
