A man's been arrested in connection with a string of commercial burglaries in Dorset.

Four thefts were reported in Swanage, Weymouth and Dorchester between 14th December 2023 and 3rd January 2024.

Now a 47 year old man from Wiltshire's been arrested.

Officers also recovered a safe that's suspected to have been stolen - with pictures released in case anyone recognises it.

PC Bryce Scott-Jones, of the Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“As part of our enquiries into these reported burglaries, we have made an arrest and also recovered a damaged safe that we believe may have been stolen.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who recognises this safe or who has any information about where it may have come from.”
