A man's been arrested after a series of burglaries, as well as a robbery, were reported in the BCP area.

A 22 year old from London's been questioned and released on bail.

It's in connection with four break-ins in Sandbanks between Tuesday 29h August and Saturday 9th September.

A man was also assaulted and had his watch stolen in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth in the early hours of Sunday 10th September.

Inspector Jon Sainsbury of Dorset Police said:

“Officers have taken positive action to arrest a suspect in connection with the reported burglaries in the Sandbanks area. Following further enquiries, he was further arrested in relation to the reported robbery in Bournemouth town centre.

“We have received a number of reports of thefts of personal items such as phones, watches and wallets as people are enjoying a night out in Bournemouth, often with victims not realising anything has been taken until some time later.

“I would urge members of the public who are out in the town to be mindful of their personal possessions and not make them an easy target for suspected thieves.”
