Maisie Adam comes to Bournemouth for her "phenomenal" debut tour

Comedian, Maisie Adam heads to Bournemouth next week (Thursday 9th March) to continue her "wonderfully witty" debut tour.
Her show “Buzzed” has received four-stars from esteemed comedy critics from The Guardian and The Scotsmen.
The former said it was “a thoroughly engaging set, bursting with puppyish pleasure” while the latter simply called Maisie Adam “phenomenal.”
Maisie told us: “I wanted to do a really optimistic and uplifting show that looks ahead to all the things there is to be excited about. So, I've tried to make a ‘reasons to be cheerful show’”
After selling-out the first leg of her debut tour, Maisie extended the tour and added another 30 dates, including Bournemouth.
Maisie describes her comedic style as “observational, anecdotal and energetic.” She said: “Sometimes I come off stage and I feel my heart and it's beating more than it is after I've played football.”
Maisie added: “If you just want a proper night out with good laughs and lots of energy and you want to walk away feeling positive about things come see the show.”
She first broke onto the comedy scene after winning the nationwide ‘So You Think You're Funny? ‘ competition in 2017.
Since then, she’s gone from height to height. First, being nominated for “Best Newcomer” at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018 to then performing at, what is considered the pinnacle of comedy, The Apollo.
Critics say she’s "rapidly becoming a household name" but with regular appearances on Mock the Week, A League of The Own, Have I Got News for You, QI and The Last Leg, she’d argue she’s already made it.
She said: “I’m in this like weird limbo at the moment where a lot of people still call me a 'newcomer' because this is my first proper tour, but then I've also been on quite a few shows. I've been very lucky to have quite a quick ascent.”
The young comedian recently returned from Southeast Asia where she appeared on A League Of Their Own’s road trip.
She added: “It's definitely been in those moments where you’re in a long boat with Patrice Evra, Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp that you're going, ‘Oh my god, is this my job?’’ It's one of those where you realise how quickly things can go in your favour.”
Maisie will be performing at The Pavilion live on Thursday the 9th of March and she’s excited to see the turnout.
