Four more holiday lodges approved for the grounds of Parnham House
That's on top of the 6 lodges that were already agreed earlier this year

Four riverside holiday lodges have been agreed for the grounds of Parnham House near Beaminster– adding to six others approved earlier in the year.
The accommodation will generate income to help with the cost of re-building the 16th century historic house which was almost destroyed by a massive fire in 2017.
Local councillor Rebecca Knox has welcomed the development and the determination of the Perkins family to restore and redevelop the estate.
“This is absolutely supported by the community and will create a number of employment opportunities.
“I believe it will greatly enhance the area and become a spectacular hide-away,” she said.
The Lodges will be used for holiday accommodation and for guests staying at the estate for weddings and other events.
The newly approved lodges will to the west of the walled garden overlooking the River Brit with two slightly larger than the others and all with ‘green’ roofs and a large glazed wall on one side. Each will be two-bed with outside decking.
The planning consent includes a re-alignment of the access track with the main entrance to the estate proposed for access.
Cllr Nick Ireland said that while he welcomed the development and the changes which had been made to improve the initial designs he hoped that care would be taken to ensure that light pollution was kept to a minimum.
