Five men arrested following 'disturbance' in Bournemouth

Two men needed hospital treatment for injuries they suffered

Five people have been arrested after a fight in Bournemouth - which saw two men taken to hospital.

Police were called to a 'disturbance' around Landsdowne Roundabout on Old Christchurch Road just after 7.00am on Saturday morning (5th October).

One of the men involved had a suspected head injury, with another suffering a laceration and bruising to his face - they both needed hospital treatment.

A third man had a minor injury to his finger.

Two men aged in their 20s from Bournemouth were arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing a bladed article in a public place, while three men from Purbeck, also all aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of affray and inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

All five have since been released on bail.

PC Summer Bryant, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.

“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area around the relevant time to please review any dashcam footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
